Eric Ehrnschwender is an artist whose work transforms clay into a record of time, labor, and physical exchange—where touch, pressure, and process remain visibly present.

Based in the Hudson Valley, Ehrnschwender has exhibited widely across the United States and internationally, including at the Geffen Contemporary in Los Angeles and the Met Breuer in New York. He has held residencies at Samband Íslenskra Myndlistarmanna (SÍM) in Reykjavik and studied at the European Ceramic Work Center (EKWC) in the Netherlands. Ehrnschwender holds an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art and a BA from Vanderbilt University, and has worked closely with artist Arlene Shechet. He is also the Studio Director of Fall Kill Creative Works, a nonprofit community studio in Poughkeepsie supporting arts education and access in the Mid-Hudson Valley.
