HARD PALATE

Hard Palate references the arched roof of the mouth and is explored not merely as anatomy, but as architecture: a resonating chamber where breath becomes tone and tone becomes voice.

This exhibition draws parallels between the body’s internal structures and the framework through which we encounter and shape the world. Just as singers use the hard palate to focus and amplify sound, artists use their practice to project their inner truths outward.

Through the featured works by Becca Van K / Kelsey Renko / June Glasson / Lexa Walsh / John Desousa /  Daria Irincheeva / ransome / Gracelee Lawrence / and Ace Lehner / this show invites viewers to consider the ways art can sharpen perception, deepen conviction, and give strength to one’s “voice”—not just in sound, but in presence, perspective, and participation in the world.
