After Hours
Something deviates when land goes unnoticed. Beyond the horizon, the earth hangs in suspense outside our gaze, even as traces of our presence linger. After Hours presents work by Annika Tucksmith that contemplates the local landscape as a living record. The paintings peer into the darkness, where the earth's perceived stillness suggests a tension both beyond and because of our time within it.

The exhibition will remain on view through October 2nd. All works are available for acquisition. An artist talk will be announced at a later date.

About the Artist
Annika Tucksmith is an artist from the Hudson Valley. Her paintings render strange narratives of the rural landscape and the people who inhabit it. Her work has been featured in Harper's Art Desk, New American Paintings, Hyperallergic, Architectural Digest, and Times Union's "30 Artists Under 30 in the Hudson Valley." She received her MFA from Columbia University and is a two-time recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshields Grant. Her work has recently been shown at Fredericks & Freiser (New York, NY) and Steven Zevitas Gallery (Boston, MA), and she is represented by Carrie Haddad Gallery (Hudson, NY).
